GUEST SPEAKERS:
Jayne Pritchard

Jayne Pritchard spent the first eleven years of her life in England before coming to Canada. Her career path included seven years with cosmetic and toiletries company, Faberge (accent over the e so it's pronounced Faber-zhay), arranging media events with the company’s spokespeople that included Farrah Fawcett, Cary Grant and Joe Namath. She eventually found her way to a television station in Barrie after moving to a hobby farm in Innisfil.

Jayne spent nearly 40 years in broadcasting and became a trusted and familiar face and voice in people’s lives before retiring in the spring of 2022. She now focuses on helping people as a Registered Nutritional Counsellor and Reiki Master. Jayne also appears at a number of events throughout the year as an inspiring keynote speaker, and is a member of Gbay Gals Give.

Her book, 'Breast Cancer After The Diagnosis', shares what Jayne went through over a three-year period of emotional ups and downs, including several setbacks. It includes the alternative therapies that Jayne sought out, as well as important supplements, and her Top 10 Health and Wellness Tips.

Jayne and her husband just built a home in Tiny Township and are able to look at Georgian Bay every day, where they boat in the summer. Her happiest times are spent on the water, with her husband, family and friends.

Kim O’Grady
I grew up in the city of Mississauga, life was fast, full, and always on the go. When I moved to Huntsville in 1998, I traded highways for backroads and shopping malls for lake views. What I didn’t expect was how much this shift would shape me.

Small town life grounded me. It reminded me of connection, of neighbours who know your name, of a slower pace that creates space to think and dream. But it also revealed something else: just because we live in small towns, doesn’t mean we need to think small.

I met incredible women here, entrepreneurs, leaders, creatives, each with bold ideas and a quiet hunger for more. More connection. More inspiration. More spaces where their big vision was welcomed, not dimmed.

Athena Verve was born from that need. A place for women like us, rooted in small towns, but unafraid to dream bigger than the town limits. A place to gather, empower, and remind each other: our vision is limitless.
